A Holiday Message

Hi there, everyone! It's Patricia here, the blog manager of CC&S.

On behalf of the CAS Colours & Sketches Design Team, I would like to wish the happiest of holidays to all of our participants, and the best of everything to you in the coming year. No matter which festivities you observe and celebrate, we hope you will feel the love, wonder, peace, joy, and magic of the season.

This has been a challenging year (no pun intended) in a variety of ways for many people around the world. It is heartwarming for the CC&S team to see the continued show of support from our challenge participants. Even when world events can make so much seem bleak, the creativity shared here is an encouraging ray of light that helps make things seem brighter. Our design team is grateful for our challenge players who help keep our blog going!

We're going to be taking a break over the next few weeks. I realize the holidays will have a much different feel for our challenge players who are used to traveling and/or having large family gatherings with extended relatives. Hang in there and know that you are appreciated by us. We'll be back to start another year of clean and simple challenges on January 5, 2021. Take care of yourself, stay healthy, and keep creating!

Challenge #400 - A Clean and Simple Seasonal Challenge, and Celebrating a Milestone!

Hello! Here at CAS Colours & Sketches we're getting ready for the upcoming holiday season by going back through our challenges from the past 11 months and turning them into seasonal creations.

You can choose to make your seasonal card using any of our color, sketch, or double challenges from 2020. If you're feeling ambitious, you can even combine one of our sketch challenges with one of our color challenges to create your own double challenge! The graphics from all of our challenges can be found by clicking on the Past Challenges tabs at the top of the page. Our usual guidelines for all of our challenges apply to this challenge. Remember to keep your card clean and simple in style!

As if all of that isn't enough excitement, we are also celebrating our milestone 400th challenge this week! We are very thankful for our challenge participants who have made this amazing milestone possible. Our blog's success is due to those of you who join in our challenges, and we want to show our appreciation by giving away a prize. Challenge #399 - Colors

Hello there! Can you believe it's December now? The start of a new month means we have a different host here at CC&S, and this time it's Patricia. Since many of us are getting into a Christmas mood, for our first challenge of the month I've decided to put a lighter twist on the traditional holiday colors of red and green, and pair them with a pretty metallic for some festive shine, shimmer, and sparkle:

For our color challenges, you must use all of the stated challenge colors. You may also use neutral colors; however, the challenge colors should be the most noticeable ones featured on your card. We use Stampin' Up color names for reference, but you are welcome to use any other companies' products as long as you match the challenge colors as closely as possible.

Since we know this is a busy time for most people, we will have only two challenges this month. We're putting our guest designer program on hold until January so we don't short change anyone from a normal guest term of four challenges.
