Season's Greetings!

Hello, crafting friends!  It's Patricia here, the blog manager of CC&S.

On behalf of the CAS Colours & Sketches Design Team, I want to thank all of our challenge players for the support you give us by joining in our challenges.  *YOU* are what keeps our blog going, and we are extremely grateful for all of you!  We truly enjoy seeing your creative takes on our color combinations, sketches, and double challenges.

The team and I would like to wish the happiest of holidays to all of our followers, and the best of everything to you in the coming year.  No matter what festivities you celebrate, we hope you will feel the love, peace, joy, wonder, and magic of the holiday season.

We will not be starting any more challenges this year so that our team members and followers can spend this special time with their families and loved ones. However, for those of you who still want to play along with us, our current Seasonal Challenge #527 will continue to run through 6:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time Monday, January 1, 2024.  Look for our next new challenge to begin on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.  We are especially excited about that because we'll be introducing the newest members of our Design Team at that time!  So until then, take care, stay well, and keep creating!

Challenge #527 - A Clean and Simple Seasonal Challenge!

Hello there, and happy holidays!  Here at CC&S we are having just one challenge in December since this is a busy time of year for many people.  For this challenge, we're going back through our challenges from the past 11 months and turning them into seasonal creations.  Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and any other holidays celebrated this time of the year are all welcome!  Or, you can create just a generic wintry card (or summery if you live in the southern hemisphere).   

This challenge will last all month long.  You can choose to make your seasonal card using any of our color, sketch, or double challenges from 2023.  You can even combine one of our sketch challenges with one of our color challenges!  The graphics from all of our challenges can be found by clicking on the Past Challenges tabs at the top of the page. Our usual guidelines for all of our challenges apply to this challenge.  Remember to keep your card clean and simple in style!

We unfortunately are saying goodbye to several of our team members at the close of this challenge.  Cécile, Lucy, Sue, and YoonYoung, thank you for all the wonderful cards you've shared as part of our team!  We are sad to see you go, but we wish all the best in the future to each of you!  

 

We will be keeping this challenge open for participation through New Year's Day!  Our Fabulous Favorites winners for it will be announced on Friday, January 5, 2024.  We'll return with new challenges on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.  Be sure to join us then as we welcome some new members to our Design Team!

Challenge #525 - Colours

Happy November, crafty friends!  Nancy here with the first challenge of November... and it's a colour challenge!  I wanted to incorporate some Christmas-y colours since this is the time of year many of us are focused on getting our Christmas cards ready for the mailbox.  But please don't feel limited by my vision!  I am really looking forward to all of your ideas!

For our colour challenges, you must use all of the stated challenge colours. You may also use neutral colours; however, the challenge colours should be the most noticeable ones featured on your card. We use Stampin' Up colour names for reference, but you are welcome to use any other companies' products as long as you match the challenge colours as closely as possible.
