Challenge #261 - Sketch

Hello there!  It's the last Tuesday of the month, which means we have a sketch challenge for you this week.  Patricia has drawn up this one that practically shouts "clean and simple" in design:


Feel free to flip or rotate the sketch when creating your card.  You're also welcome to squoosh it into a square card format.  Just keep the proportions of the shaded areas approximate to how they are drawn.

Challenge #260 - Colours

Hello there!  It's Patricia here again, welcoming you to another challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches. 

Here in Virginia where I live, the weather has been very changeable over the last week, with high temperatures around 70°F last Thursday, sleet and freezing rain last Saturday, and today and tomorrow it's supposed to be in the low to mid 70s again!  Hopefully this week's colors will make us all think of springtime, which should be on its way soon. 

We've used Stampin' Up colour names for reference; however, you may use any companies' products for your cards as long as you match our colours as closely as possible. You may also use neutral colours for card layers, sentiments, and image outlines. However, in order to be considered for our weekly winners, you must not use any other colours.

Challenge #259 - Sketch

Hello there crafting friends!  It's Patricia again, with the first sketch challenge for this month.

I mentioned last week that I'd used one of my older cards to inspire my choices for last week's color challenge.  This week, I've turned one of my cards from 2011 into our sketch challenge: 


Feel free to flip or rotate the sketch when creating your card.  The sketch is designed for an A2 sized card (5.5" x 4.25"), but you can stretch it to a portrait-oriented rectangle if you'd like.  Of, if you prefer to create square cards, you may manipulate it into a square.  So long as we can easily see the sketch elements shown here, it's all good!

Our design team has created the following cards to inspire you.  Some of us have tweaked the sketch a bit, but the main idea of the sketch is obvious.
