Season's Greetings!

On behalf of the CAS Colours & Sketches Design Team, I want to thank all of our challenge participants for the support you give us by joining in our challenges each week.  *YOU* are what keeps our blog going, and we truly appreciate all of you!

We would like to wish the happiest of holidays to all of our participants.  No matter what festivities you celebrate, we hope you feel the love, joy, wonder, and magic of this special season.

In order for our followers and our team to share time with their families and loved ones, we're going to be taking a break for a few weeks.  We'll be back with another challenge on January 7, 2016.  We are especially excited about that because we'll be introducing the newest members of our Design Team at that time!  So until then, take care, and keep crafting!

Christmas Sketch Challenge #154

Hello, crafting friends!  We have another festive challenge for you this week. This time we're giving a holiday spin to our sketch challenges from the past year:

You can view the graphics from all of our sketch challenges by clicking on the Sketch Challenges Archive tab at the top of the page.  Scroll down for the ones from 2015; they'll start at Challenge #106. Feel free to flip or rotate the sketch when creating your card.  You may also change the shape of your card; if the sketch is drawn as a square, you may manipulate it into a rectangle; if the sketch is drawn as a rectangle, you're allowed to make it into a square.  So long as we can clearly see how the sketch inspired your card, it's all good!

If you would prefer to make a Hanukkah or Kwanzaa card, that's fine!  As long as your card is for a December holiday, it'll be appropriate for our challenge.

In your blog post, please be sure to note which sketch you've used for your card.  Here are the holiday takes from our Design Team:

We're going to be taking a holiday break after this week's challenge so that our challenge participants and our design team can spend time celebrating with those they love.  The winners of this week's challenge will be announced on December 21.  Our next challenge will begin on January 7, 2016.

Our challenge requirements are listed in the Challenge Rules tab.  Please read them carefully before linking your card.  Happy crafting!

Christmas Colours Challenge #153

Hello!  Here at CAS Colours & Sketches we're getting ready for the upcoming holiday season by revisiting our challenges from the past 11 months and turning them into Christmassy creations.  As usual, we're starting off the month with a colour challenge:

You can view the graphics from all of our colour challenges by clicking on the Colour Challenges Archive tab at the top of the page.  Scroll down for the ones from 2015; they'll start at Challenge #107.  We've used Stampin' Up colour names for reference; however, you may use any companies' products for your cards as long as you match our colours as closely as possible. You may also use white, ivory, kraft, or black for your card base and layers, for image outlines, or for sentiments. However, in order to be considered for our Weekly Winners, you must not use any other colours.

If you would prefer to make a Hanukkah or Kwanzaa card, that's fine!  So long as your card is for a December holiday, it'll be appropriate for our challenge.

We've noted the challenges that our Design Team members have chosen, and we ask that you do the same in your blog post when you share your card.

Challenge #144

Since we know this is a busy time for most people, we've decided to have only two challenges this month.  We don't want to short change any of our guest designers from a normal term of four challenges, so we're putting our guest designer program on hold until January.  Next week we'll be turning a sketch challenge from 2015 into a holiday card.  Beginning December 17, we'll take a break and return with a new challenge on January 7, 2016.

Our challenge requirements are listed in the Challenge Rules tab.  Please read them carefully before linking your card.  Happy crafting!
